Coldplay - Fix You

In the second verse he sings, "When the tears come streaming down your face" he is obviously sad. Even tough this doesn't sound like a very interesting or detailed line, I think it's really important because everyone has cried and hearing those words probably brings back the last time you went through this. It is something every listener can relate to. Next he sings, "When you lose something you can't replace." He isn't talking about a phone or a pen or any objects at this point because those are all replaceable, people aren't. Knowing something is gone and never returning is the worst feeling anyone will ever have. After is "When you love someone but it goes to waste." This is also a very relate-able line because many times love doesn't feel like you chose it, you feel it, and it doesn't go away easily. You probably feel like your wasting your time, and theirs as well. But secretly no matter what happens, you would do anything to feel that love in return. Lastly is the line "Could it be worse?" This is more of a rhetorical question. If you feel love so strongly and don't feel it in return, and you lose someone forever, it can't get worse.
